About My Money Tree

This is a plant which is supposed to be easy to grow indoors. However, that is not why I bought it. It was one of the first plants I bought, when I started replacing plants after the “Big Texas Freeze”. Anyway, it is from the swamps of Central America, so it loves our Texas humidity. I loved the leaves and the braided trunk, which is done when the trees are young and pliable.

It is believed to bring you luck and financial success by those who practice Fung Shui, but you are never to put it in a bathroom, because it is said to drain all that success away. Let me say, I haven’t seen any money, or financial success yet. People say I have a “green thumb”, but I say, I have just learned over the years, which plants I have luck with and which ones I don’t. Smartly, I now try to stick with ones I do. I thought I’d give this a try though and so far it’s doing well, except for giving up the “goodies”.
